ABOUT DENIECE WATKINS SMITH

Professional Experience
Hello!  I have been in the Bay Area real estate industry for over 19 years, including: sales; administration; coaching; mentorships and training.

Professional Philosophy
I strongly believe in the principles of integrity, dependability, honest communication, thoroughness and open negotiation. I understand the delicate balance between sentimentality and investment involved in real estate sales and purchases.

Education
  My real estate education includes: appraisal; ethics; finance; economics; risk management; consumer protection; property management; and sales procedures.  I believe in continual education. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science – Business concentration, a minor in Spanish, and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. I am a proud holder of a Private Pilot’s License and hold a Cross-Cultural Elementary Teaching Credential. I am also an ex-real estate appraiser.

Personal Background
A native Californian, I grew up in the Belmont and Woodside areas and have most recently resided in Los Altos Hills and Mountain View.  I have taught elementary school in both the Los Altos and Milpitas School Districts.

Interests and Languages
My interests include personal watercraft (jetskis) learning, flying, the ocean, golf, softball, writing, following the stock market, technology, jewelry making, volleyball, kayaking, traveling, and a continual effort to be a good person.

Community Involvement
I have spent time being a bilingual Domestic Violence Counselor. I support the following organizations: Child Advocates; One Warm Coat; Relay for Life – The American Cancer Society; Leukemia/Lymphoma Society; California Boating Safety Officers; Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America; Hospice. I am a proud member of the California Boating Safety Officer's Association.
